Emergency plumbing customers do not compare ten companies. They search, see a few names and call. Your marketing has one job: be among those names, and be easy to reach.
1. Own the map pack
Most emergency searches happen on a phone, and the map pack is what appears first. Keep your Google profile complete and active.
2. Show your real hours
If you offer 24-hour service, set your hours to match. Profiles that show as open get more calls.
3. Make calling effortless
Put a tap-to-call button at the top of every page on your website. Do not make someone fill out a form when their kitchen is flooding.
4. Answer every call
A missed call is a lost job. Use an answering service or automated text-back so every caller gets a response in minutes.
5. Run ads for urgent searches
Target phrases such as emergency plumber, burst pipe and water heater leaking, limited to your service area.
6. Build a page for each emergency
Burst pipes, blocked drains, no hot water and sewer backups should each have their own page with what to do while waiting.
7. Get reviews that mention speed
“Arrived within an hour” is exactly what the next customer wants to read.
8. Follow up after the job
Send a thank-you text with a review link, then stay in touch with maintenance reminders. Today’s emergency customer is next year’s water heater replacement.
Measure it
Track calls by source so you know which channel brings the urgent, profitable jobs, and put your budget there.
